Letter from President and CEO Matthew Caldwell
Mar 16
Panthers Territory,
Our Panthers and Amerant Bank Arena family hope that this message finds you well. These are unprecedented and challenging times for our South Florida Community and for all.
In this ever-changing situation, we are constantly re-evaluating and taking all necessary precautions for what is best for our fans, guests, employees, athletes and neighbors. We're listening to all guidelines from the National Hockey League, the Centers for Disease Control, the State of Florida, Broward County, the cities of Ft. Lauderdale and Sunrise and many other leaders.
To our Coral Springs Community and our Youth Hockey community across Florida, the Panthers IceDen is closed to the public at the present. Please stay safe and inside with your families. Like our team, we know that your compete level and love for the game will be as strong as ever when the time comes to take the ice again.
As a new father, Floridian and a Panthers fan, I strongly encourage you to follow all guidelines and information put out by your local and state authorities. We need to remain safe and unified to get through this. Panthers fans are a one-of-a-kind community and now more than ever, we need to band together.
We're thankful to Sergei Bobrovsky and his Panthers teammates for their donations to support our part-time staff as well as to Jonathan Huberdeau and Mike Hoffman for their contributions to Athletes for COVID-19 Relief. As always, we are humbled by the donations and commitment from the Viola Family on their contributions to care for our staff and community at this time. It's truly touching to see the dedication from our athletes and ownership. They never hesitate to step up when support is needed.
The Panthers organization and Amerant Bank Arena are ready to support in any way that our community needs. We stand with you, South Florida and we're ready to help you get through this and to recover when the time is right. We can't wait to see our fans cheering for the Cats, playing our game and living our Panthers mission again soon.
We are proud to call South Florida and Broward County our home.
