Policy on Website Accessibility
It is the policy of the Arena Operating Company ("AOC" or “the company”) that the company's online websites and other digital content should be accessible to customers with disabilities including the blind and visually impaired. The company has developed a policy towards achieving its accessibility goals.
The company has adopted the W3C WAI Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Level AA as its accessibility standard for all online products and services that the company designs, develops and/or procures, on or after the effective date of this Accessibility Policy. We are working to ensure, to the extent practicable, that new online products and services satisfy Level A and AA Success Criteria set forth in the WCAG 2.0. For preexisting products and services, the company has already made significant enhancements to the online experience, and it continues to do so.
The company further urges third-party vendors providing content on its websites to adhere to the WCAG Level AA standard and will consider compliance with this standard when selecting third party vendors. Some third-party content that appears on our site may be outside of our ability to control, however.
This Accessibility Policy applies to all websites and owned and operated by AOC.
To achieve its accessibility goal, the company also looks to the following best practices:
- The company has designated the Director of Digital Media as its website and digital content coordinator. The Director of Digital Media is responsible for overseeing the company’s efforts in this area and serving as a resource for the teams involved in developing and maintaining the company’s digital content.
- The company provides accessibility training and other forms of learning content to the teams responsible for developing and maintaining its digital content so that they have the knowledge and experience needed to implement the standard outlined in this Policy.
- The company assigns specific tasks to each of the major teams involved in the application and content development life-cycle to ensure, to the extent readily achievable, we meet the accessibility standards. These tasks include design reviews, standards-based development, and quality assurance testing with assistive technology.
- The company conducts monthly manual evaluations to monitor, analyze and help repair accessibility issues found in its web applications and digital content. The results of this monthly testing are reviewed in detail with independent accessibility consultants on a quarterly basis.
- The company actively solicits feedback on the usability and accessibility of its website and digital contact in order to maintain an open channel of communication with its end users.
As we continue to make improvements in the accessibility of our websites and digital content, we will review this policy to ensure that it reflects the company’s efforts and commitment to accessibility and inclusion.
This Policy is managed by the company's Director of Digital Media. The company is committed to making its websites accessible to customers with disabilities and welcomes suggestions for improvement.
